In Northeast
Baltimore there is a lot of talk about a rapper called "Choppa". I had the
pleasure to meet up w/ Choppa and find out who he is and what he is really
about. It all began at the age of 13 rapping with his boys as a hobby.
Listening to N.W.A. and watching Krush Groove influenced Choppa to take
rapping more seriously. In 1990 he joined a group called "Militia".
Fortunately, Choppa realize they were not getting anywhere, so he began to
go solo. He went to different studios promoting himself. He got his big
break signing with Marble Hall Records. Now you may catch him performing at
the Virgin Islands, Tower's Lounge or The Heritage. To motivate himself
before each show he "blesses the green plant" and freestyles off some
instrumentals. When he is not performing, Choppa is with Mike Mcintosh,
owner of Architects Recoeding Studio, working on some of his tracks or he is
"HUGGING THE BLOCK". "Fuck it whatever pays the bills". We can look
for Choppa's album to drop at the end of the summer. We can find Choppa
making his debut on Tim Trees album coming this summer. You can go cop
Choppa's hot single Block Huggas in stores now. For more information call:
