Ogun by definition is the spirit of iron, war and truth. This name describes Kevin Beasley as a man because he is very aggressive but at the same time he offers a concrete destination. This Baltimore native is known for his live shows and aggressive lyrics. Influenced by his father, Larry Beasley, Ogun began rapping at the age of 18. Ogun has always been saturated in Hip Hop since conception. “I always felt I had a voice, but Hip Hop music always kept me motivated to follow the footsteps of all the greats such as KRS1, Rakim, Gangstarr, Big Daddy Kane, and EPMD just to name a few. My moms actually has a sonogram of me in my B-Boy stance”. There are no specific topics on which he writes. He tries to cover all ground and leave no rock unturned. For his motivation he pour all his thanks to god, the ancestors and all those who passed on, then he focuses on being the best.”. Today, Ogun is signed with Real On Purpose Entertainment and plans to have his album released this summer as well as other future releases from King Saloman, Baltimore Sunz, and from his group Rites of Passage.
