The Name is “Mr. Benjamin”

 Most of today’s Rap/Hip Hop artists are hailing from New York, California, Chicago and The Dirty South. But Seattle, Washington, who would have thunk it. That’s right, Mr. Benjamin’s doing his thing to put Seattle on the map. With his first CD titled “Mr. Benjamin 2008”, this is a Rap artist that should not be underestimated. Even though you may not have heard of Mr. B., he is no stranger to the game. He has had the opportunity to record songs with Sir Mix-A-Lot and Juvenile, just to name a few. Mr. Benjamin has opened for acts such as Shaggy, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Xzibit, Outcast and Dwayne Wiggins (from Tony, Toni, Tone).

 
Bringing his creative style that often contains positive messages has put Mr. Benjamin is a class of his own. Even though he has not reached his plateau in the music industry yet, he has so many accomplishments that he is already considered a star in the Seattle area. Serving his community seems to be a priority for Mr. Benjamin, whether it volunteering at the local food bank, doing shows for organizations or being the first Rap artist to receive the City of Seattle Achievement Award from Mayor Paul Schell for reminding us that music can and should be used to uplift and inspire.

With several TV and radio appearances; as well as; his single “Mama Keep Ya Head Up”, which has been heard on several commercial radio stations in Seattle and Portland; Mr. Benjamin is getting exposure that is well deserved. Even though most of the airplay has been in the northwest area, Mr. Benjamin’s ship is docking on the east coast. Already in rotation on URSCENE Radio (URSCENE-FM) in Washington, DC, the reviews from audiences nationally and internationally have been astounding; as anticipation grows for Mr. Benjamin who is fast becoming the hottest Rapper out of the northwest area.
